I recommend that you choose your 10-note handpan according to three criteria:
🎵 The Range – Each handpan has a unique vibe. If you’re looking for a smooth, introspective sound, minor scales like D minor or A Kurd are perfect. For a more joyful and sunny touch, go for a C Major.
🛠️ Quality of workmanship – A good handpan should be well tuned, with precise notes and a nice resonance. At Bapst Handpan, I select tested and voiced instruments for a smooth experience.
🎒 Your personal use – If you plan to travel with your handpan, choose a lighter and more compact model. If you play mostly at home, thicker steel will provide a deeper, longer-lasting resonance.
